It all started with a journal I purchased which I didnt like the cover so I removed the original cover and  used two colors of scrapbook papers on the cover.  One page: gessoed over , then using some cute stamps I have stamped the flowers and hearts.  The stamped images were colored with copics.  Then I made a silk ribbon bow with my stash of ribbon and vintage jewelry pieces.  Used a few embellishments here there it is complete and now have a fresh new journal to use!!  The only question what should I use it for. Perhaps, a prayer journal, scrapbook, writing journal, sermon notes, oh you know the possiblities are endless.  This one is so cool I wish I remembered where I bought it.  It has recycled brown paper inside.

I am very thankful for a beautiful yet very chilly 29 degrees here in NW Georgia!  Whew, more like mid winter than mid November.  I hope everyone has a great day!  Stay warm if you are in the chilly climate too and if you are in the warmer climate, I would love to come visit.

Birds of Passage Papercraft Week

A little bird told me:

A little bird told me that Mark's Finest Papers is having Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge #50 Emboss Resist Technique so I made up a cute little card with a little bird:

I used alcohol inks for the base papers, a fancy technique for the ribbon on the side a couple of flowers and of course the emboss resist technique for the little bird.

Can you believe it????? I made a scrapbook page

Do I scrapbook?  Not really. I have made a very few pages but I figured, new house, new year perhaps I would like to do a scrapbook.  This picture was taken when my husband and I were dating.  We met in 12/05 and this was taken early 2006.

I was inspired to make this page from The Paper Trail Makers Challenge Sketch.  This is my first time participating in the challenge.  I love to find a challenge that really inspires me to do something new and different.
