Here is a Altered Journal that I made with a Encaustic covering and a decoupaged vintage image

• Journaling helps reduce stress---Somehow just writing down your thoughts helps your mind move on something else.
• Journaling keeps your memoir.   It might not be perfect however it might be helpful to someone   once you are gone. 
• Journaling--You can write down your thoughts or ideas.

a record of experiences, ideas, or reflections kept regularly for private use

Start a journal, restart a journal.  Write it down.

aLTErED jOUrNaL ------------------------>>>>>

It all started with a journal I purchased which I didnt like the cover so I removed the original cover and  used two colors of scrapbook papers on the cover.  One page: gessoed over , then using some cute stamps I have stamped the flowers and hearts.  The stamped images were colored with copics.  Then I made a silk ribbon bow with my stash of ribbon and vintage jewelry pieces.  Used a few embellishments here there it is complete and now have a fresh new journal to use!!  The only question what should I use it for. Perhaps, a prayer journal, scrapbook, writing journal, sermon notes, oh you know the possiblities are endless.  This one is so cool I wish I remembered where I bought it.  It has recycled brown paper inside.

I am very thankful for a beautiful yet very chilly 29 degrees here in NW Georgia!  Whew, more like mid winter than mid November.  I hope everyone has a great day!  Stay warm if you are in the chilly climate too and if you are in the warmer climate, I would love to come visit.

I love journals so I am going to alter many journals for using during my bible study and prayer time.  I am trying to decide if I am going to label them or not....Maybe the next one will get a word or words perhaps an initial. 

I used a free image from Graphics Fairy and did a glossy accent to it to give it the globe look.  Several of my  DP, doily, ribbons, lace, button and bows.
